OUR VISION |
Life Changing Ministries and Fellowship, Inc. was formed under the direction of King Jesus with many convincing miraculous affirmations regarding our direction and vision. Our driving purpose is to see the
Kingdom
of
God
advance on the earth as we await the renewal of all things. As we join with the worldwide body of Christ in this effort, our emphasis is on seeing the life transforming power of God “CHANGING ONE LIFE AT A TIME”! These precious lives are then to be polished, as if they were rare metals or valuable gems, by the doctrine of the apostles and the Sprit of God so that they will be thoroughly equipped to accomplish the work that they were uniquely called to perform. LCMF is dedicated to a spirit-balanced approach in teaching about the Hebraic roots of the scripture, the role of
Israel
, the early community of New Testament believers, bible prophecy, the plan of God and the practical elements of our Faith. Our goal is to comprehensively equip believers to live out the teachings of Jesus whether they are birthing Churches or serving God in the secular arena. The sign that hangs above the exit in our Church reads, “PERFORM OUT THERE WHAT YOU HAVE PRACTICED IN HERE.” Matthew and I ask you to support our vision by any means that the Lord Jesus directs you as we minister the transforming power of God to each individual entrusted to us ”CHANGING ONE LIFE AT A TIME” and advancing the Kingdom of heaven on earth. |

ABOUT OUR PASTORS |
 |
Pastor Stephens is the loving husband of Jennifer Stephens and the father of Judah, Gabriel and Abigail Stephens. Raised in and out of Church, his dramatic conversion occurred in 1993 at the age of 18. The Lord worked through a powerful course of events that culminated in Jesus speaking to him and Eric crying out his salvation prayer, "LORD CHANGE ME!" This simple, yet, powerful prayer has been greatly honored by God. From the beginning Eric knew that he was called to ministry and that he needed to be prepared.
Much of this preparation occurred between 1995 and 2000. In 1995, a missionary recently back in the United States asked Eric to serve on his board and begin a church in Louisiana. He was ordained on October 12th, 1997 through that ministry and spent several years on part-time staff gaining valuable experience. His eventful journey to Sugarland, Texas was preceded by years of intense biblical study, ministry trips to Israel, and the miraculous workings of God all over Louisiana.
Eric, together with his wife and children, began Life Changing Ministries and Fellowship, Inc. in May of 2003. From the beginning they began praying and seeking God for the addition of the Perot’s as ministry partners. Finally in 2004, Matthew and Cassidi, along with their two children, arrived to assist in the pastoral work and leading worship. Originally, Matthew and Eric both maintained full time secular jobs to reduce any financial burdens on their young church, but in May of 2006, Eric transitioned to part-time secular employment to devote more time to the work which he has been entrusted. In January of 2011, Eric left secular employment altogether to make time for the growing ministry needs in Sugar Land and LCMF's passion for foreign missions that had extended to 3 continents.

Pastor Perot is the loving husband of Cassidi Perot and the father of Natalie, Sydney, Chloe and Emme. Matthew and Eric first met during high school in 1990 where they became friends. Matthew was the first to be radically saved in 1992 which played a vital role in Eric’s drawing to the Lord. Reading a tract alone in his bedroom, Matthew was born-again and 18 months later was baptized in the Holy Spirit. His gentle demeanor combined with tenacious faith displayed in his actions both served as a source of conviction and inspiration for his friend Eric. In the course of time, Matthew’s prayer for Eric’s salvation was answered and the two of them began their journey together.
From the beginning, Matthew felt a strong desire towards worship and playing the guitar. He found an old classical guitar under his father’s bed and sat in his room praying for Jesus to show him how to play it. His approach was not traditional, but has proven to be highly effective. In those early years, Matthew and Eric formed the bond together in worship that has proven to be their strength as a team in the Kingdom. Although Matthew was the one who baptized Eric, it soon became clear that Matthew’s role in the Kingdom leaned more towards leading worship while Eric’s was preaching. The two of them spent the next several years leading bible studies and doing street evangelism together all over Louisiana.
Matthew met Cassidi December 15, 1998 at a Christmas Party of a church fellowship where Matthew attended and Eric was on staff. Cassidi was radically born again that night and almost one year to the day, Matthew proposed to Cassidi at the next year’s Christmas Party. Their love for each other was obvious from the beginning and they were soon married and began their family, the first child arriving December 18, 2001.
Soon thereafter the wedding, Eric left to embark on the series of events that led to the beginning of Life Changing Ministries while Matthew stayed in Louisiana. Matthew spent the next few years strengthening his family and the church where he was ordained, while Jesus prepared the foundations of ministry in Eric and Jennifer’s lives and living room. In 2004, Jesus answered their families’ prayers. Matthew and Cassidi received the calling from Jesus to join the Stephens in Texas. Today, Matthew and Eric, along with their families, form an inseparable ministry team that is called to change “one life at a time”!

STATEMENT OF FAITH |
|
|
|
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and, as such, it contains God’s instructions to mankind. Life Changing Ministries and Fellowship, Incorporated holds the entire cannon of scriptures to be our statement of Faith. As instructed in the Holy Word (1 Corinthians
1:10
-31) we have refused segmentation into or classification as any sectarian grouping, but aspire to simply be identified with Jesus. In the 14th chapter of Romans, the Apostle Paul acknowledged that Christians encounter disputable matters. Like Paul, Life Changing Ministries will leave room for each person in the Lord to become fully convinced of the Lord’s will. Additionally, Corinthians 11:19 teaches these differences between believers are a means of determining who has God’s approval and Life Changing Ministries will move in any direction necessary to remain in the “approval” of the Lord. Undoubtedly, some will find it disconcerting to be denied the “cliff notes” or abbreviated compilation of what Life Changing Ministries holds as articles of Faith, but we believe that many have greatly erred in providing this comfort to their members. Excerpting the bible to provide a comprehensive “Statement of Faith” presumes that a complete and inerrant understanding of all that the Lord would choose to reveal has been obtained. This presumption has misled many well meaning people to refuse the light of God’s revelation because it would seem to contradict a tenet of their “Statement of Faith”. The progressive nature of God’s revelation eliminates the ability to define “what we believe” in a comprehensive fashion because our spiritual growth is dependant upon adding to what we believe on an ongoing basis. Therefore, Life Changing Ministries’ “Statement of Faith” is simply, “We believe in the Holy Word of God as contained in the Scripture”. Disputable matters laid aside, there are matters of doctrine wholly beyond contestation and we believe that any honest reading of God’s Word will bring them to light. We encourage believers and non-believers alike to read our Statement of Faith as given to us by God, the Holy Bible. We will continue to promote the study of the Word and fellowship of the saints until Jesus returns and the resurrection occurs.
Pastors,
Eric Stephens and Matthew Perot |
